Positive holiday self-talk

The holiday season is coming up again. This usually isn't a great time for me.

However, I have learned to talk kindly to myself. It has helped me a lot. I'll share some of that talk, in case someone here could use it:

You are worthy of love, admiration and compassion -- no matter how you feel right now.

No success, employment status, salary or title can give you that worth.

And, more importantly, no failure, injury, insult or illness can take it away.

You already have it. And it's okay if you don't see it right now.

You're still here, and that matters a lot. You have another chance to figure it out.

I love you. You have, or will have, others that will love you, too.

Take it a day at a time.
