Party now, postmortem tomorrow

I did it! I finished and published my review of The Bridge to Nowhere! I am sure I have mentioned this before in a previous post but I don’t have the time to read through past entries, so here it is again: This is the first time I have created a work that had more than 1500 words.

Those are a lot of words. I have written short stories that contained fewer words than this. It’s a big deal because I had gone through so many months—no, years—of this dry spell. I didn’t think I would ever have the patience to write more than a short instagram post or a dumb retweet. This accomplishment, as small as it may be to the rest of the world, is a sign that I am going in the right direction.

There is a lot to learn from process I used to create the blog post. I hope to write about that tomorrow. That is not today, however. Today, I’m going to drink Blue Moon and eat grocery store sushi. I’ve earned it.
