A post about nothing (aka another update post)

I have been doing a bit of pre-work on the post-mortem blog when, as per usual, I realized that there is a lot I want to say. So, just like the review itself, I want to give myself the time to write a proper post-mortem. So it’ll be a while before I’ll have that post up.

And I don’t want to give myself a hard deadline this time around, at least not until I write the first draft. One thing I learned that I can share here is that I have no idea how long something takes until that draft. There are a lot of things I come up with just in the act of writing it out. In this case, the amount of subtopics that came up in the draft exceeded the ones in my outline and my mind map. Writing really is the act of trying to suss out ideas.

I also wanted to write a little big about self-love as a filler post because today is Valentines day. However, just as with the post mortem blog, I found out that I have a lot to say about this topic as well. So it deserves its own run through my newly minted writing process.

Deadline for the self-love post is also TBD. It will happen after the post-mortem post to be sure. The shiny object is the self-love topic, but I have to finish what I started. I am practicing the ancient art of sticking to projects until they are completed.

Hey, at least I had enough to talk about to complete my daily quota. Not bad for a post about nothing!
