A few words on the Russian invasion of Ukraine

It is bullshit.

Putin’s justification is bullshit. He is wasting lives in order to leave his mark on history. That is a dumb reason to do anything. This is what happens when you give a petulant baby, who grew up on a steady diet of “great man” history, an army.

Speaking of petulant babies…

To think that our last president would have done this if he wasn’t so dumb. He certainly tried, with Jan 6th being the closest he got to success. But, again, he’s kind of dumb. And he didn’t have as much time as Putin has to get all of the pieces together. Putin has been gunning for Ukraine well before his initial invasion of Crimea.

Who knows what would happen if Trump had more time to plan out his coup. We totally lucked out in 2020.

He can still come back to finish the job, so we had best stay vigilant. Ukrainians are literally dying for their democracy. The least we can do is not vote for that Orange Julius or any of his clones in the coming elections.

This is all assuming that this invasion doesn’t escalate further. We may not get the chance to do anything once the nukes are launched.
