An ok day

I’m doing better. I think? Yeah.

Probably.

The day started poorly, though. I wanted to catch the morning train, so I made it a point to wake up earlier than I am used to. This was difficult to do because I stayed up the night before — ironically due to being excited about trying to change my schedule — but I got out of bed early enough. However, I couldn’t find my wallet, and I used up the time I needed to drive to the station trying to find it.

I was very salty after that. All that effort to get up early had gone to waste. And now I had to drive to work on even less sleep than I usually have. I stewed on this mishap the entire commute.

Work turned out well. I stayed focused with a combination of breath work and coffee. I think I took in seven times as much caffeine as normal — and the heart palpitations I am having right now prove it.

After work was done, I threw away all the plans I had made for the rest of the day. I was starting to crash by then, and caffeine wasn’t going to save me. I opted to give in to my desire to purchase a telephoto lens for my camera. So, after buying that on Amazon, I took a quick nap before I drove home.

So, overall, I’d give the day a 4 out of 10. I would not recommend.
