Hiking blog post update (no. 2, I guess)

Another picture from the hike.

The first draft of my Bridge to Nowhere article is humming along. I only spent about 20 minutes adding content. This is the first time I am genuinely giving my writing process a go.

I am already resisting the urge to quit after the first sentence. I am pushing myself to write more than I am used to. However, I don’t want to burn myself out by trying to force myself to write too much. Finding the balance between productivity and burnout is what I am actually working on as I write that article.

The couple of paragraphs I was able to generate has lead to more thoughts. I am allowing those tangents to stay on the page for now. I’ve tried forcing myself to stay on track/on outline before and it’s never worked. I have also tried writing without an outline and that hasn’t worked either.

The best path is somewhere in between those two extremes. This is also something that I am figuring out as I write.

This project is already paying off.
