A good end to a bad work week

I’m gonna do a lot of this over the weekend.

What happened today:

  • I feel a lot better today. It’s nice that I’m able to turn my mood around ever more frequently. It helps that I got enough sleep last night.

  • It’s Friday! That means I had my appointment with my therapist.

    • We talked my own doubt about my ability to improve. I ended up proving my own competency by processing this doubt as we talked. It was a nice session.

    • We also talked about my lack of focus. So we agreed that my homework for this week is to break down my work in 20 minute chunks of focus. Some people would know it as the Pomodoro Technique.

  • I tried the pomodoro technique on the second half of my shift (I have my therapy appointments during my lunch break). I believe I got more work done in four hours than I had the past three days. Hooray!

  • No extra thoughts today. One night of good sleep isn’t enough to make up for a crappy week. I still feel out of it. Besides — I want to play some Elden Ring.
